ARTICLES OF FAITH
1.Belief in God
The Philadelphia Church believes in one Triune God, who exists as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
2.The Authority of Scriptures
The Philadelphia Church holds that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative word of God. It serves as the ultimate guide for faith and practice.
2.The Divinity of Jesus Christ
The Philadelphia Church affirms that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and performed miracles.
4.The Crucifixion and Resurrection
The Philadelphia Church believes that Jesus died on the cross for the sins of humanity and rose from the dead on the third day. His resurrection provides the hope of eternal life for all who believe in Him.
5.Salvation by Grace
Salvation is a gift from God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It is not earned by works but given freely to those who believe.
6.Baptism
People must be baptized in water to receive forgiveness and the “new birth” and Baptism is by immersion
7.The Role of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit dwells within believers, guiding, teaching, and empowering them to live according to God’s will. The Holy Spirit also convicts the world of sin and leads us in the way of righteousness.
8.The Church
The Philadelphia Church is the body of Christ on earth, consisting of all believers. It is called to worship God, uphold Christian teachings, and spread the gospel.
9.The Second Coming
The Philadelphia Church believes that Jesus Christ will return to judge the living and the dead and to establish His kingdom fully. This event is known as the Second Coming.
10.Eternal Destination
The Philadelphia Church believes that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and prosperous lives to help others more effectively. We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.
11.The Purpose of Life
God has equipped people to worship God, serve their community, to do the will of God.
